Arcause Spotlights – Past Editions
Delhi
Our first edition was a high-energy, 2-day intensive in Delhi that brought together 125 participants from 19 colleges and 18 collaborators. We explored the city through the lenses of heritage, accessibility, and sustainability, culminating in a day of reflection at Municipalika.
Kochi
Our second edition in Kochi brought together students, practitioners, researchers, and local voices to engage with the city through its layered histories, waterfronts, cultural landscapes, and everyday urban life.
Bengaluru
Our third edition in Bengaluru brought together a diverse cohort of students, architects, professionals, and facilitators to explore the city through the interconnected lenses of heritage, accessibility, mobility, and public life.
Nagpur
Our fourth edition in Nagpur brought together students, architects, researchers, and heritage enthusiasts to explore the historic core of Mahal through the interconnected lenses of urban heritage, architectural documentation, cultural memory, and conservation. Participants engaged with the city’s evolving historic fabric to better understand the challenges and opportunities of preserving its living heritage.
Pune
Our fifth city-based edition of Arcause Spotlight in Pune brought together architects, learners, and urban designers for a thoughtful walk along Ganeshkhind Road. Together, we explored how mature trees shape the city’s ecological health, influence urban mobility, enhance public spaces, and contribute to creating more sustainable and resilient streets. The walk sparked meaningful conversations on the importance of integrating nature into urban planning and reimagining our cities through a people- and environment-centric lens.
Chennai
Our Sixth edition in Chennai Edition brought together enthusiastic participants for an immersive exploration of Chintadripet under the theme City as a Classroom. The walk saw a vibrant mix of faculty members, students, young architects, and Arcause Club coordinators. The session concluded with an engaging mapping exercise and an urban treasure hunt, encouraging participants to reflect, collaborate, and observe their surroundings more closely.
Varanasi
Our Seventh edition in Varanasi brought together students, architects, researchers, and heritage enthusiasts to explore the historic core of Varanasi
Arcause Spotlight – The Journey Ahead
It was a powerful beginning to our mission of creating a space for dialogue and reflection on inclusive, community-driven, and responsible design, building an ecosystem of more aware and engaged individuals.
