Arcause Writers Collective

Architecture does not end when a building is completed. It continues in documentation, discourse, critique, translation, and public engagement.

The Arcause Writers Collective (AWC) is an initiative under the Ethos Foundation that seeks to build a sustained culture of architectural writing rooted in research, responsibility, and real-world narratives.

In an era where architecture is often reduced to imagery and surface-level appreciation, the Writers Collective attempts to re-centre writing as a critical tool, one that documents labour, material realities, sustainability, regional knowledge systems, accessibility, and the lived experiences embedded within built environments.

a one of a kind initiative by Ethos Foundation Arcause emerges from this understanding that the future of architecture depends on how deeply it listens, learns, and responds to the world it serves. The program seeks to bridge the long-standing gap between design education and the realities of community development, sustainability, and social impact.

Through this initiative, students and early-career professionals will be placed at NGOs, community projects, and social design studios across India 

This fully funded internship program by Ethos Foundation | Arcause will connect up to twelve interns with partner organisations that will curate on-ground challenges, learning experiences that provide exposure to projects emphasizing community participation and designing for impact.
