After completing its first chapter in Bengaluru, the Travelling Elective continues its journey in Chennai, where students will visit the Museum of Possibilities and learn to design for dignified, inclusive access.

Architecture today extends well beyond studio drawings and theoretical exercises. As practice evolves, architectural education must remain aligned with these shifts. Pedagogy Meets Practice is a faculty-focused immersion initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic teaching and contemporary professional realities.

The Coimbatore edition explores how technology, research, and public engagement are reshaping architectural practice and pedagogy, spanning heritage and conservation, public and civic practice, construction, and emerging technologies.

Conceived to recognise and celebrate individuals and institutions actively advancing responsible practices within design education and student-led action. Through recognitions such as the Design Educators Award and the Arcause Impact Catalyst Award, the initiative acknowledges excellence in teaching, mentorship, student leadership, institutional impact, and socially responsible design.

These awards celebrate long-term commitment, meaningful impact, and efforts that inspire systemic change. The focus is not solely on outcomes but on the processes, collaborations, and intentions that make responsible practices possible.
