Overview
The Shri H L Somany Architecture Excellence Scholarship, in partnership with Ethos Foundation | Arcause, supports architecture students who demonstrate commitment and potential but face financial challenges in continuing their education.
The scholarship is rooted in the belief that financial circumstances should not become a barrier to completing an architectural education. Along with financial support, the initiative seeks to create greater access to encouragement, professional exposure and a wider community of architects and peers.
Last year, the scholarship supported 8 architecture students from Sir J.J. College of Architecture, Mumbai and APJ Abdul Kalam School of Environmental Design (SEED), Kochi.
For the 2026–27 cycle, the initiative is expanding its reach across institutions and regions, towards supporting 16 students. The larger aim is to build a continuing network around scholarship recipients, connecting students with mentors, peers and opportunities as they move from architectural education into professional practice.
Who can apply ?
- Architecture students currently pursuing their degree at an eligible institution.
- Students who demonstrate commitment, potential and dedication towards their architectural education.
- Students facing financial challenges that may affect their ability to continue their education.
How to apply ?
- The applicant should register on the website.
- Fill the application form.
- Paste the link of your work (if any) in required sections.
- A review panel will select the students who would be then awarded this scholarship.
- The scholarship winners will be announced on our website and via email.
